WSO2 announced that its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, will step down from his role as CEO with effect from June, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Board of Directors has initiated a search for a permanent CEO and has appointed WSO2\u2019s Chief Revenue Officer Devaka Randeniya as Acting Chief Executive Officer to lead the company during the transition period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WSO2 continues to see strong demand for its platform as enterprises seek to securely integrate, manage, and govern increasingly complex digital interactions, including emerging AI agents. Weerawarana will join WSO2 executives at WSO2Con North America 2026, its upcoming user conference in Austin, Texas next week, where the leadership team will present the company\u2019s latest innovations and future direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
