The Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders\u2019 Association (SLFFA) will host the National Logistics Awards (NLA) 2026 on October 28, at the Lumina Ballroom, Cinnamon Life, Colombo, bringing together leaders and professionals from across the country\u2019s logistics and supply chain industry to recognise excellence, innovation and outstanding contribution to the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Held biennially, the National Logistics Awards has evolved into a key platform for recognizing organisations and professionals that demonstrate excellence and contribute towards strengthening Sri Lanka\u2019s logistics capabilities and competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2026 awards will recognise performance across the wider logistics ecosystem, with categories covering freight forwarding, airlines, ocean carriers, courier and express services, transport providers, container depots, logistics software and technology providers, project logistics, customs brokerage, and warehousing and distribution, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel comprising representatives from the public sector, corporate sector and academia, together with experienced logistics professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The evaluation process will consider key areas including operational competence, service quality, innovation, track-and-trace capabilities, reliability and timeliness, together with relevant industry performance indicators and international logistics benchmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Logistics Awards 2026 also provides an opportunity to recognise the resilience of an industry that has continued to keep Sri Lanka connected with global markets despite unprecedented challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The awards also seek to create greater awareness among the younger generation about the diverse career opportunities available within logistics, freight forwarding and supply chain management. As global supply chains become increasingly sophisticated and technology-driven, developing the next generation of skilled logistics professionals will be critical to Sri Lanka\u2019s future competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strategically positioned along one of the world\u2019s busiest East-West maritime trade routes, Sri Lanka possesses significant potential to further develop as a regional logistics and distribution hub. SLFFA continues to advocate for greater collaboration between government, industry and other stakeholders to improve the country\u2019s logistics ecosystem, enhance professional standards and strengthen Sri Lanka\u2019s connectivity with global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With more than 182 member companies, representing many of the country\u2019s leading logistics and freight forwarding organisations, SLFFA continues to play an active role in industry advocacy, professional development, education and training, while promoting international best practices across the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Logistics Awards 2026 will therefore be more than an awards ceremony\u2014it will be a celebration of the organisations and professionals who keep trade moving, connect Sri Lanka with the world and contribute towards building the country\u2019s future as a competitive regional logistics hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
