People\u2019s Bank, one of the country\u2019s leading banks, marked World Children\u2019s Day and World Elder\u2019s Day, celebrated annually on October 1, by reaffirming its commitment to supporting the children of the nation while offering a range of special benefits to senior citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Children\u2019s Day and World Elder\u2019s Day provide an important opportunity to recognize the needs and aspirations of both generations. At People\u2019s Bank, we are committed to supporting children in building a secure and promising future while ensuring that senior citizens continue to enjoy greater financial convenience and security.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children who deposit Rs. 1,000 or more into their People\u2019s Bank Isuru Udana<\/em> or Sisu Udana accounts from October 1 to December 31, will be eligible<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People\u2019s Bank also offers the Parinatha<\/em> Senior Citizen Savings Account, which provides senior citizens with a host of benefits designed to make their savings more rewarding and convenient. People\u2019s Bank introduced the Isuru Udana<\/em> savings account in 1998 under the theme \u2018The Wisest Gift for a Child\u2019. Designed for children below the age of five, the account offers a range of special benefits while encouraging parents to begin building their children\u2019s financial future from an early age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its commitment to supporting children throughout their educational journey, People\u2019s Bank recognises students who passed the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination with a special gift. Further, students who achieve 1st, 2nd and 3rd Island Ranks in all six streams at the G.C.E. (A\/L) Examination are also recognised and rewarded with cash prizes in appreciation of their outstanding academic achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People\u2019s Bank has launched the Parinatha<\/em> Senior Citizen Savings Account, through which senior citizens can enjoy a host of benefits for their hard-earned savings, including debit and credit card facilities and the convenience of transacting from home through state-of-the-art digital banking services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
