The Commercial Bank of Ceylon\u2019s remarkable near two-and-a-half-decade run as Sri Lanka\u2019s best bank was recognised on the global stage recently when Sanath Manatunge, the Bank\u2019s Managing Director\/CEO accepted the 24th Best Bank award presented to the Bank by Global Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Global Finance Annual Awards ceremony for 2026 was held at the Dusit Thani Bangkok, coinciding with the IMF\/World Bank Annual Meetings.
Commercial Bank also received the Global Finance accolade for the Best Islamic Bank in Sri Lanka at the same event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Global Finance\u2019s \u2018World\u2019s Best Banks 2026\u2019 awards recognised top-performing banks in more than 150 countries, territories and districts across Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Central America, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and Western Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
