Colombo Port among ten key ocean cargo ports most at-risk for natural disasters

Port of Colombo is among ten key ocean cargo ports most at risk in terms of their exposure to natural disasters, a leading supply chain risk analytics company said.

Along with the Port of Colombo, six ports located in China including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen Ningbo-Zhoushan, and Shanghai were listed among the most vulnerable ocean cargo ports for natural disasters by Everstream Analytics.

Further, Kaohsiung Port in Taiwan, Busan Port in South Korea, and Laem Chabang Port in Thailand were also listed.

The ranking is based on Everstream Analytics’s own research and the ports exposure to natural disasters
