People’s Bank conducts annual Dansel for Kataragama Pada Yatra devotees

The People’s Bank Okanda Dansel Committee – Ampara conducted its 25th Annual Dansel Programme on July 17, at the entrance to Kumana National Park in support of devotees undertaking the sacred Kataragama Pada Yatra.

The programme was graced by the participation of Prof. Narada Fernando, Chairman of People’s Bank. Among those in attendance were K.M.P.P. Kulathunga (Regional Manager – Ampara), M.M.A. Amarasiri (Regional Manager Moneragala), K. Kodeeswaran (Regional Manager Batticaloa), Senior Legal Officers, Assistant Regional Managers, Branch Managers and staff of the Ampara Regional Office.

As part of the programme, 1,000 dry food packs were distributed to devotees participating in the sacred Kataragama Pada Yatra, reflecting People’s Bank’s continued commitment to community service, social responsibility and the preservation of Sri Lanka’s cultural and religious traditions.
