The Total transaction value in the Digital Payments market is projected to reach US$9.98bn this year, according to Statistica.
Total transaction value is set to show an annual growth rate (CAGR 2024-2028) of 14.49% resulting in a projected total amount of US$17.15bn by 2028.
Sri Lanka’s digital market’s is driven by Mobile POS Payments with a projected total transaction value of US$5.25bn in 2024. From a global comparison perspective, it is projected that the highest cumulated transaction value is expected to be reached in China (US$3,744.00bn in 2024).
